Hi I am Jennifer, the face behind Scrapatini:Scraps Of My Life. I am from Calgary, Canada. I share my home with my 2 amazing boys, 2 funny dogs, 2 crazy cats and 1 adorable rabbit. When I am not crafting, I am cheering my boys on in their many sporty and other challenges. We lead a busy yet fulfilling life! 

 

 

I have been scrapbooking and card making for over 14 years but have been crafting my whole life. I started my Scrapatini blog as a way to share my love of all things crafty with other like minded people.

August guest designer... Lisa-Marie!

I live in the beautiful, green and leafy wineland suburb of Durbanville, which is in the Western Cape, South Africa.  I share my home with my beloved 8 year old, Isabella,, and my life partner, Andre (aka Wolfie), two dogs and two cats.  I have always loved doing anything crafty from a very young age; and it was about 11 years ago when a friend introduced me to scrapbooking - and it kinda stuck!  I have NOT looked back and I can say with all honesty, that scrapping is my therapy, an outlet and undoubtedly a passion of mine.  I love taking photographs too - so to be able to combine two art forms that I love so much is nothing short of amazing!  I'm fortunate enough to not work, so you will find me in my art room every single day!  I'm also very blessed, humbled and honoured to serve on 5 design teams - CSI: Color Stories Inspiration, Off The Rails Scrapbooking, Mix It Up Challenge Blog, The Studio Design Team and Fabscraps (which is a proudly South African scrapbooking company!).

I really enjoyed working with this sketch!  In lieu of using 3 photographs, I used one of my favourites and then added, in my layering, three chipboard frames.  To add a bit of interest, I added these frames at varying angles.  I used smaller corner elements so that the eye is drawn to the photographs / subject.

August guest designer... Wendy!

My name is Wendy Crowe and I have been scrapping for over 15 years.  I am happily married to a guy who loves my hobby and since he does Graphic Design, he always has plenty of input...lol.  I have 3 children - a daughter who is married, a 16yo daughter and an 11yo son.  So I always have PLENTY of different subjects to scrap.  Needless to say, I will NEVER reach the end of my boxes of pictures - and that is NOT a complaint!  My styles change with the mood I am in, the subject I am working on, and the time I have.    I always find my inspiration through sketches.  I start off with the sketch and then the creativity takes over.  Sometimes I end up with pages that look nothing like the original sketch

I consider my style to be more whimsical.  I usually let the photos tell the story, so I don't journal a lot.  You are more than welcome to check out my different pages and hopefully will also be inspired.  Thank you to Stick It Down for giving me the opportunity to be a Guest Designer on their blog.  Looking forward to spending more time working with their sketches and making new friends!
