Hi, my name is Antonia and I’m over the
moon to be guest designing for the Stick It Down blog this month! I’ve been
scrapbooking for about eight years now, but only been ‘going social’ recently
with my work. I mostly do 12”x12” single page layouts, but I also use double
layouts and pocket page journaling in my travel albums and my kids’ school
albums.
I love this month’s double page sketch –
the wood panelling at the bottom reminded me of Autumn, so I decided to
scrapbook some photos from a family day out from last November. I love using
patterned paper for the background, and with this sketch it was really easy to
incorporate a busy pattern, like the pumpkins, without making the page too
crazy.
I modified the layout a bit by positioning
the photos slightly differently and creating extra clusters of embellishments.
I also created a fold-down flap to accommodate some extra photos and
journaling. I journal (a lot) on most of my pages, so it made sense to create
extra room to accommodate this.
I used products mostly from last year’s
Autumn collections from Pebbles and Simple Stories. The paper with the wood
slice pattern is from the new 1canoe2 collection and is my current favourite. I
hope you like my layout; and a massive ‘Thank You’ to the Stick It Down team
for selecting me as one of the guest designers for September!
Congrats and love your fall page.
