I'm so sorry, I just realized that we never announced our June winners! I don't know how I missed this!

We had so many double page entries this month, which is amazing!! We had 31 total entries for June but those of you who played along with the double page sketch, please share what you liked best about this sketch. Or was it just that you had more time or the right photos to work with it?

Without further ado...

Thank you everyone for playing! I'm so sorry again about the delay in posting winners. We would still love for you to guest design with us in August. I know deadlines will be a little difficult now, but we can work around it if you still want to do it. Please email Ashley at StickItDownChallenges@gmail.com

July guest designer... Lynne!

Please welcome Lynne as our July card guest designer!

I live in Northern Ireland with my hubby and our Westie, Ruby, and I work full time for a charity in Belfast.  I've always enjoyed making things and used to do a bit of painting and cross-stitching, but I've been card making for about 15 years now.  I sometimes think that my love of card making stems back to my childhood when I loved nothing better than a nice new set of crayons and a colouring book!!  Here's my blog if you'd like to come visit: https://rubydoobydoocrafts.blogspot.com/

I thought this sketch would be harder to put together than it actually was!  I cut out a panel slightly larger than my card base, and used the cut off remnants of each section as a guide to cutting the next one, so there was no faffing about trying to work out angles and whatnot.  Hope that makes sense!! I wasn't too worried about matching up my edges as I then die-cut my panel once I'd all the bits stuck down.  For my sentiment I cut 3 sets of each letter (the top layer is a lovely white glittery card) and then stuck them all together for some dimension.

July card team!

White Rose Crafts owner, Kay Barnes, is a paper-crafter of many years' standing, who hails from Yorkshire, England. The White Rose is the heraldic symbol of Yorkshire, and dates back to at least the Fourteenth Century - possibly even before that! And it's well known in the UK that Yorkshire people are proud of their roots!

Kay moved to the United States, initially, to work as director of an organization providing help to the homeless on the outskirts of Washington DC. When that contract came to an end, she moved out of the city to enjoy country life... and with time to devote to it, and the encouragement of a whole set of crafty friends, she decided to embark on a new path that would give expression to her other great passion in life...  for all things glittery, shiny, and papery...!

July guest designer... Sarah!

Hello! I’m Sarah Jayne and I’m excited to be the SID guest designer this month and
work with the single page sketch. I live on the south coast of the UK, near to the
beaches with my husband, our teenage daughter and our two cats.

I have been scrapbooking for about 11 years, but I was a papercraft addict making
cards and wedding stationery for many years before I discovered scrapbooking.
I own a UK kit club and scrapbook store called Lottie Loves Paper. My scrapbooking
style is very varied – one day I might make a very clean and simple design and another
day I’ll be creating a busy layout with lots of layers and plenty of embellishments.

For my layout, I took the idea of the large numbers on the sketch but went with letters
instead and used a fabulous “Beautiful” cutfile designed by Paige Taylor Evans and
backed it with patterned papers from my “The Brightside” 6” x 6” paper pad by Fancy
Pants Designs. Using a small banner die I cut the banner shapes from the same papers
and arranged them in the top corner. The embellishments (ephemera and small puffy
hearts and dots) are all from the same collection as the papers.

My social media links are all below – I’d love for you to drop by and say hello.

July guest designer... Anne-Liesse!

Please welcome Anne-Liesse as our double page guest designer!

My name is Anne-Liesse, and I had a great time guest designing this two-page spread for May. I live in North Carolina, and have done so for the last 13 years. I am a teacher, wife and mother and I have been scrapbooking for more than 18 years. I rubber stamped cards and made hand crafted mini books before that. I love the color and the visual texture of scrapbooking. It just makes me happy to make pretty pages with pretty paper and tell stories along with it.

How about some Christmas in July?!? When I saw this sketch I knew immediately that I wanted to use some photos I had from Christmas time to make the layout. I find that holidays and birthdays often yield a lot of photos, but the story may be hard to tell each year since we do it EACH YEAR.

This sketch was perfect to feature a bunch of photos - 15!! - and let those images tell the story. I did make the photos on the title side a bit bigger than those on the right page.  The giant title and a few embellishments were all that was needed to complete the layout.

I used the We Are Memory Keepers mini alphabet punch board for the title, and added some hand stitching. My papers were from Pebbles and Paper Studio, and the red burlap was from a Mix and Match paper pad from Canvas Corp that I snatched up from Tuesday Morning. I hope you enjoy this layout!
