My name is Wendy Crowe and I have been scrapping for over 15 years. I am happily married to a guy who loves my hobby and since he does Graphic Design, he always has plenty of input...lol. I have 3 children - a daughter who is married, a 16yo daughter and an 11yo son. So I always have PLENTY of different subjects to scrap. Needless to say, I will NEVER reach the end of my boxes of pictures - and that is NOT a complaint! My styles change with the mood I am in, the subject I am working on, and the time I have. I always find my inspiration through sketches. I start off with the sketch and then the creativity takes over. Sometimes I end up with pages that look nothing like the original sketch. I consider my style to be more whimsical. I usually let the photos tell the story, so I don't journal a lot. I loved dusting off my Creative Memories hexagon punch for this page. Since I was already working on Disney pictures, I had tons of scraps everywhere and this was a great way to clean it up...lol. I thought layering the hexagons with black would really make them POP off the page. I added some squares and some fun Mickey Parts buttons for some dimension.

Love this layout and your are right matting the hexagons with the black was perfect, makes all the other colors and patterns really pop.
