June guest designer... Angela!

Angela is a familiar face around here and we love having her :)

Hey there SID fans! I'm super excited to be GDT this month. My name is Angela and I've been scrapping longer than I haven't at this point. I most enjoy doing single pages layouts, but do a lot of sports treats, cards and home decor also. I have 4 kids and keep pretty busy running around with them. We play a lot of sports and do a lot of fun family activities. My favorite hobbies besides scrapping are softball & photography.

For my take on the sketch I decided to turn it on the side and use washi for the banner. I used a birthday line to make a graduation card and I love how it turned out. To finish off my card I added some glitter stickles. Thanks for stopping by and have fun creating!

July - December 2018 card team!

Please welcome our card team for the January - June term!

My name is Alison and I live in Bend, Oregon right in the center of Oregon. I am married and have one thirteen year old daughter along with a dog named Wrinkles. I started traditional scrapbooking over ten year ago which branched out into card making, mini albums, and other paper crafts. I work part time as Speech Language Pathologist helping children birth to five years of age. On my days off I keep busy crafting, volunteering at my daughter’s school, gardening, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.

Hi, Colleen from the beautiful state of Michigan. I am a mother, wife and grandmother to 5 very active kids. I have been scrapping for about 15 years but seriously scrapping for about 6 years. My style is eclectic and evolving. I love to make cards, scrapbook layouts, altered projects, as well as love making flowers and create most of the flowers on my projects. I use my Sizzix, other dies, Silhouette Cameo, punches and stamps to create the shapes and go from there.

Sharon

Hi!  I’m Sharon Bessinger.  I am so excited to be joining Stick it Down and their talented Design Team!  I’m married to Shaun going on 23 years and we have a 3 wonderful kids.   We also have 2 rescue dogs, Pippin and Shandy, 7 chickens, and a bunny… I’ve always been an artsy person, I am a silversmith as well.  From the time I was little, I loved to color and create fun projects.  A couple of years after our oldest son was born (20 years ago), I was introduced to scrapbooking. I fell in love with it.  I love creating in my craft room with paper and a cup of coffee, listening to my echo podcasts or music.

This is Ruth, I have been doing scrapbooking and card making since 2010, my blog is called My Hobby My Art.  My style is C&S but I love to try and learn more styles and techniques. I am so trilled to be part of the SID team!!

I am a Michigan girl who has a crafty obsession. Thanks to my parents, I was encouraged to be creative at a very young age. My style is "vintage chic," I love to mix things up so I love to add modern touches to vintage but modern prints. I create cards, layouts, altered items, etc. When you can't find me in my studio I am most likely to be found in the kitchen cooking up a storm for my parents and brother.

Monica

My name is Monica and I live in IL with my husband and 3 boys. To pay the bills and support my hobby I work at a bank as a part time teller. I like to say "What's better than bankers hours? Part time bankers hours." I love to be able to play in my craft room and create when I get a chance. I began making cards in 2010, after a little hiatus and enjoyed the smaller project size (which slowly helped me get back into scrapping). I love working with sketches and so I'm super excited to be a part of the Stick It Down card team!

July - December 2018 single page team!

Please welcome our single page team for next term! You'll see a few new faces and some familiar ones :)
Hello, everyone. My name is Cathy. And I live in Keelung City of Taiwan with my husband, an 18 years old daughter and a dog name little Ben. For my profession, I teach Chinese literary in junior high school.  I have always loved playing with handmaking, which has resulted in hobbies like sewing, baking, and garden design.  I start with making cards for my daughter’s birthday,  After my crafty friends took me into scrapbooking 5 years ago, I just completely addicted to it.
So I always want to spend more time for making a layout.  It’s so much fun to choose the papers, colors, inks, embellishments and other mediums. Hope you join us at Stick It Down.

Helen

Hi, my name is Helen and I’m a craft addict! I have been scrapbooking since 2002 when I first got introduced to this wonderful hobby. I used to scrapbook clean and simple double pages, however, over time my style has morphed more into a messy mixed media single page style. The photos I’m using and the mood I’m in is what really determines what my pages look like at the end. I also like to create YouTube videos as a source of inspiration, well I hope others find inspiration and don’t just laugh at my Aussie accent. In my craft room I scrapbook, make cards, create mixed media canvases, art journal and paint abstract paintings. Really, I enjoy anything that feeds my creativity. By day I am a primary school teacher and by night a single mother to teenage twin boys. I love sharing my projects and hope that people find some inspiration from what I create.

Karen

My name is Karen and I live in Essex with my lovely husband of 30 years.  We have one daughter – Gracia  who is 24 and recently qualified as a doctor, and a Golden Retriever – Kiera. Gracia and Kiera are the main focus of my scrapbook pages.   I  have been on the design teams for Scrapagogo and Shimelle and am currently on the design team for A Trip Down Memory Lane and Silhouette UK.

Crafting is an inherent part of my everyday life – I have to do something creative every day or my day doesn’t feel complete.  I like to scrap my frustrations, my triumphs, my love of life and my family, I like to record the sad, funny, ordinary and just plain weird things that happen in our everyday life, I scrap the everyday.  I am not an acid free scrapper as I like to add all sorts to my pages.

I am thrilled to be part of this ultra talented group of girls who will be showcasing their amazing projects over the next year.

My Blog, Instagram, Pinterest

Hi there! I’m Carmen, a scrapbooker! Oh, wait! I’m also a wife, mother and grandmother! I was born in Brazil, moved to Panama when I got married with my sweetheart Alfredo in 1976. After quit my job as a bank officer in 2006 I was looking for a hobby.
Discovered scrapbooking at a LSS, instantly felt in love with patterned papers and embellishments. I did take a few classes and was immediately hooked. I love to work with sketches, try new techniques and styles. My family is the main source of inspiration for my layouts, also scrap travels and everyday life. Daughter in law, a professional photographer send me beautiful pictures of grandson Elliot, born in May 2016. My husband and I are doggy lovers, our two dachshunds passed away the
last 2 years, we are super ready for another puppy. Can’t live without wagging tails at home.

Sam

Hi, my name is Samantha (everyone calls me Sam), and I live in Northamptonshire in the UK with my husband and my 2 children.

I’ve always been into crafting, but I discovered Scrapbooking when my daughter was 3 weeks old, and the rest is history as they say!!

Scrapbooking is my passion and keeps me sane.  I was on the Design Team for Scrapbook Magazine and Craftaholics R Us, and I’m really looking forward to working alongside the talented DT for Stick it Down!

Hey, my name is Terri Morris. I live in South Yorkshire in the UK. Being creative is just something that I have always done, I start to get grumpy if I go a few days without playing with pretty paper.  I have been scrapbooking for approximately 15 years. I love to add lots of details to my scrapbook pages and am known to be an avid fussy cutter. My pages often consist of lots of layers to create texture and dimension. I dabble with mixed media on my backgrounds to add different colours, patterns and texture. Although I do like a white cardstock background it isn’t always my go to because if I love a pattern I like to show it off as much as possible. My scrapbooking mostly documents my 3 other passions in life, travel, food and my cats.

 MelissaKay

Hello!  My name is MelissaKay Pearson.  I have been in the scrapbook industry for nearly 2 decades.  I have four beautiful and energetic children who provide me with enough material to fill all of my scrapbooks, planners, and mini albums.   I do a bit of everything from scrapbooking to card marking to mixed media and even graphic design.  I have a wonderfully supportive husband who gave me the entire second living room for all of my paper, glitter and washi tape so I hope you’ll come on by and we can create together!

Stacy
My name is Stacy Buller. I am a self-employed (Realtor) mom of two teenage boys. We live in Rhode Island (USA) in the town I grew up in. I've been married to my best friend, Michael, for 24 years this October and he supports my crazy addiction to paper crafting. I actually starting scrapbooking when my first son was born in 2001.  It was the fall of 2001. The World Trade Center was atttacked and I remember sitting on my couch, nursing my son, and wondering what kind of a world had I brought him into. To distract myself from the horrors on the news shows, I switched on the DIY network and got hooked watching Sandy Genoveese on her program DIY Scrapbooking (back in the day when the embellishments were Mrs. Grossman's stickers and you used deco edged scissors to fancy-cut your photo mats). But I've been at it ever since and love seeing the progression my albums and pages have taken.

July - December 2018 double page team!

My whole double page team is sticking around :) I'm so excited to keep these guys!

Hi, I am Tina.I live in South Williamsport, PA. I am married to a wonderful man now 22 years between the 2 of us we have 8 kids, 17 Grandkids, 2 Greatgrandkid with a pair of twins and another on the way :) We are the owners to 1 fur-baby too, Buddy an Australian cattle dog (Blue Heelers) and has been part of our lives since 2004. I'm a mold ejection laborer working the night shift for Shop Vac.
I started scrapbooking in 2007 when 2 coworkers/friends took me to my first crop, one of the girls said all I needed to bring was the pictures and anything special to go with them, she provided me with my first album and I had access to her supply of paper. I fell in love with the hobby that day and have been doing it since, that year for Christmas they gave me my first tote-bag kit that I still use when going to crops. I love to scrap in my Scrapcave (scraproom) it gives a chance to relax and enjoy the process of preserving memories. I scrap, make cards, smash and project life.

I'm Lauren and I'm from Philadelphia, PA. I've been married to my husband Mike for 9 years.  We met in elementary school and started dating the summer after we graduated from high school. We have two furbabies, Rocky the Boxer and Daphne the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I work from home for a yearbook publishing company, so even in my job, I work with photography and page layouts. I started scrapbooking 14 years ago and I am absolutely obsessed. My other hobbies include antiquing, photography, reading, gardening, and cooking/baking. I love to travel, and that provides so many scrapportunities for layouts.

I am a HS science teacher by training and substitute teach a few days a week.  I help my husband run his business and manage our little mini-farm of chickens, Black Angus steer in the summer, and raise German Shepherds.  My most important job is being Mom to our two boys!  We adopted them from Russia not quite 8 years ago.  DS #1 is a Senior in High School and DS #2 is in 6th grade.  We also have a daughter who is a Senior college.  I’ve been crafting all my life and scrapping since 1997 when I started with Creative Memories . . . but soon diverged!  My favorite thing to scrap is events and double page layouts are my go-to format.  I also enjoy making cards and creating home décor. It is a pleasure to join the Stick It Down design team, thanks for having me!

Hi there, I am Cathy and I hail from sunny South Africa. I have been scrapping since 2003... was introduced to this hobby by my BFF Judi and have not looked back. I eat, sleep and create scrapbook layouts. I love to scrap with a "mix and match" style... ie anything goes so long as the photos are highlighted and the story is told. I am married to Keith and mother to Aaron, who features in most of my pages. My scrapping is my photo album and thus I scrap the everyday memories that we make. I am honoured to be chosen to be part of this team and can't wait to get stuck in and scrap.

Hi!! I'm Shannon and I am a double page junkie so I am super excited to be joining the double-page team!  I just hate the thought of leaving a picture left unscrapped!  When I am not scrapping,  I am a wife, mother of 2 children and 3 furbabies and a Social Worker.  I have been scrapbooking in one form or another my whole life, but have been "acid free" since 2004.  In the past, I have had the privilege of designing for several manufacturer's and print magazines as well as on-line stores.  And I am so happy to be getting back into being part of a team after taking a break from scrapbooking to obtain my Master's degree.

Hi, my name is Antonia and I’m over the moon to be designing for the Stick It Down blog! I’ve been scrapbooking for about eight years now, but only been ‘going social’ recently with my work. I mostly do 12”x12” single page layouts, but I also use double layouts and pocket page journaling in my travel albums and my kids’ school albums.

You can find me on Instagram @antsheartseggy

Carol
I am a mother to 3 wonderful children and married to wonderful man for 20 years. He supports my “hobby," but still thinks it is just about ‘sticking bits of paper onto other bits of paper’. I am blessed to live in the beautiful coastal town of Swakopmund, Namibia. I began my scrapbooking journey in 2008 when I resigned from teaching Grade 1, and became a stay-at-home mom. In 2011 I opened on online scrapbooking shop, namely Scrapbooking Namibia. My inspiration is my family, especially my children and nieces. I love how scrapbooking celebrates the little details in my life. It makes the ordinary extraordinary and that’s how I want my children to remember their lives – as an extraordinary blessing.

June card team!

I will always be that little girl with my stamp set.

I love creating cute little images. I needed a place for them all to live, and that's how my store on Etsy was born. Stamps and paper products fill me with JOY! There is nothing better than blank paper, ink and a small stamp. I hope to create a product that feels like being home every time you use it :)

Check out Tara Wakefield's shop and Facebook page!

June guest designer... Wendy!

Please welcome Wendy Crowe as our June single page guest designer!

My name is Wendy Crowe and I have been scrapping for over 15 years.  I am happily married to a guy who loves my hobby and since he does Graphic Design, he always has plenty of input...lol.  I have 3 children - a daughter who is married, a 16yo daughter and an 11yo son.  So I always have PLENTY of different subjects to scrap.  Needless to say, I will NEVER reach the end of my boxes of pictures - and that is NOT a complaint!  My styles change with the mood I am in, the subject I am working on, and the time I have.    I always find my inspiration through sketches.  I start off with the sketch and then the creativity takes over.  Sometimes I end up with pages that look nothing like the original sketch.   I consider my style to be more whimsical.  I usually let the photos tell the story, so I don't journal a lot.  You are more than welcome to check out my different pages and hopefully will also be inspired.  Thank you to Stick It Down for giving me the opportunity to be a Guest Designer on their blog.  Looking forward to spending more time working with their sketches and making new friends!

I loved dusting off my Creative Memories hexagon punch for this page.  Since I was already working on Disney pictures, I had tons of scraps everywhere and this was a great way to clean it up...lol. I thought layering the hexagons with black would really make them POP off the page.  I added some squares and some fun Mickey Parts buttons for some dimension.

You can find more about Wendy on her BLOG, Facebook, and Pinterest.
