Nothing screams Christmas more then a good stripe! Created using washi tape, thin cuts if black cardstock and glitter cardstock. A little stenciling to finish it up. ~Sherry

December Single Page Team!

Happy December Everyone!

This month we have an awesome sketch by Laura Rumble to inspire you to scrapbook those festive photos:

And here is what our single page team created with our sketch:

Brandi doesn't usually use a lot of florals on her layouts, so she replaced the background with ornaments and pine branches. Her layout compares her late grandparent's Christmas tree from 1999 to her current tree using the same ornaments. We love this story!

Jane chose a vintage photo for her beautiful monochromatic layout. She added some fussy cut flowers from the Gingham Farm collection by My Mind's Eye and some die-cut leaves.

Laura adapted the sketch to A4 format and used the Wildflower collection from Pretty Little Studio for her layout. She added some copper glitter paper to the layered patterned paper border - it's the perfect accent, so eye-catching!

We hope you find our layouts inspiring - be sure to join in with our sketch challenge! You have until the end of the month to play along with any - or all! - of our challenges... just create a layout based on one of our sketches and link your entry in our sidebar.  If you share on social media, please use the hashtag #StickItDown.  We’ll choose one winner from the entries and they will be invited to guest design for us in February!

Happy scrapping and hope you all have a Holly Jolly Festive Season!!

December Double Page Sketch

Happy December everyone! We have a fabulous, holiday inspired sketch that is sure to help you scrapbook some past Christmas photos! Check out the sketch and our design teams inspiration below:

I created this layout with photos from my daughter's 1st Christmas last year.  This sketch gave me a great opportunity to use stamps on my layout (all of the bows on the ornaments).

Another fun Christmas with family!

When I saw this sketch, I immediately thought-- Snow Globe!!  Using a Cricut image, I cut out a 10.5 inch snow globe.  Then, I carefully lined the edges with foam tape and filled it with lots of shaker goodies!  Next, I placed acetate on top and then glued down the frame. I love how it came out and I can't stop shaking it:)

Twinkle the Christmas Mouse is the newest addition to our festive family celebrations, and I documented his first journey to Scotland with this double page layout!

Weren't those layouts so great? Love them all!

We hope you get a chance to use these designs as some inspiration this month! Make sure to link back what you create, so we can share in the joy with you! Have a great holiday season!

January - June 2022 design team!

 Double page team!

Hi, I’m Antonia, I live in the UK with my family. I’m an occupational therapist by day, avid scrapbooker by night and nature wonderer on the weekends. I started scrapbooking about twelve years ago, wanting to capture and record the special moments in my children’s lives, as they grow up. It has since become a passion and a form of therapy – it keeps me sane when life gets a bit crazy! I’ve been on the Stick It Down design team for over three years now – I’m so proud of being part of such a fantastic team!

I'm Lauren and I'm from Philadelphia, PA. I've been married to my husband Mike for 15 years.  We had our daughter, Audrey in November of 2021. We have two tuxedo cats, Oliver and Rosie.  I work from home for a yearbook publishing company, so even in my job, I work with photography and page layouts. I started scrapbooking in 2002 and I am absolutely obsessed. My other hobbies include antiquing, photography, reading, gardening, and cooking/baking. I love to travel, and that provides so many scrapportunities for layouts.

Bethany *also on the single page team

Hi everyone, I'm Bethany! I'm stay at home mama who somehow squeezes scrapbooking into nap times. My husband, sweet puppy and I live in Minnesota! The long Minnesota winters first introduced me to this wonderful hobby and now I can't seem to get enough of it. I love how this hobbies brings so many amazing women together! I look forward to being a part of this amazing team!

Maureen *also on the card team

Hello, I am a mother of 2 & wife to Stan. After scrapbooking and stamping for over 10 years, I became a Close to My Heart (CTMH) Independent Consultant. When I'm not spending time with my family or working, I am thinking all things paper, inks and stamping! I hold 2 classes at my home each month. Please join us!

 Single page team!

Brandi

Hi, I’m Brandi! I am a full-time mama, part-time paper crafter! I live in Maryland with my husband and our two boys, ages 3.5 and almost 2! I am currently loving scrapping single page 12x12 layouts with the occasional double page spread. I’ve been scrapbooking since I was in late Elementary school when my Aunt got me started with 8.5x11 albums to hold my Girl Scouts memories and photos. I quickly moved to 12x12 and have too many albums to count! My husband jokes he’s a little concerned about what it’s gonna look like years from now, especially having so many photos of the boys to scrap!

I love using sketches or other design prompts to get started. My favorite part of the process is definitely picking colors and mixing and matching papers and embellishments to create the perfect combo! Happy scrapping!

 Jane

My name is Jane - I love all things paper! My favorite part of the scrapbooking process, besides the photos, are the papers and embellishments! I have been married for 41 years and my husband and I have 2 children who are adults. We live in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon, with our cat. I spend lots of time in the summer working in our garden and I also love to sew.

Megan

My name is Megan and I am 48 years of age. I live in Ballarat Victoria Australia. I have been crafting since 2015 when I had a large ischemic stroke. I was down and out for quite some time. I had to learn to walk, talk, eat, and, everything about life again. I also learned I could not do as much as I wanted anymore so I had to find a hobby. A good friend took me in and showed me how to create with paper craft and I learned to make some Christmas cards one year. I really enjoyed the process ever since I've not stopped learning. I have met some amazing friends in the paper craft community from being a Kaszazz consultant and now to a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator the process of learning, sense of achievement and being inspired continues.

 Card team

Hi!  I’m Sharon Bessinger.  I am so excited to be joining Stick it Down and their talented Design Team!  I’m married to Shaun going on 23 years and we have a 3 wonderful kids.   We also have 2 rescue dogs, Pippin and Shandy, 7 chickens, and a bunny… I’ve always been an artsy person, I am a silversmith as well.  From the time I was little, I loved to color and create fun projects.  A couple of years after our oldest son was born (20 years ago), I was introduced to scrapbooking. I fell in love with it.  I love creating in my craft room with paper and a cup of coffee, listening to my echo podcasts or music.

I am a Michigan girl who has a crafty obsession. Thanks to my parents, I was encouraged to be creative at a very young age. I don't really have a style anymore since I love trying new things but one this stays the same with me is that I love layers. When you can't find me in my studio I am most likely to be found in the kitchen cooking.

Since childhood I've always been passionate about paper crafting, vintage items, DIY and just being creative.  As far as a "style" I would have to say I am the most comfortable with vintage, grunge and distressed. With that being said I will often get out of my comfort zone to try something new and different.
