December guest designer... Haven!

Hi everyone! My name is Haven Amacher and I’m very excited to be a guest designer for the double page layout this month at Stick It Down.  I have been living in Oregon for the last 23yrs with my husband Ben and our four kids, Ashley, Jessica, Danielle, and Eric who are the primary subjects of my scrapbooking projects.  I just started a new job with Junction City high school as an instructional aid and balance the remainder of my time volunteer coaching cross country and track for the middle school along with leading a girl scout troop. You can find my latest creations on my BLOG
Even though the photos are of evergreen swags for Christmas decorations I wasn't feeling the traditional colors associated with Christmas.  The Swags even sported bright icy blues, lime greens and Silver/ White adornments.  My layout definitely reflects our color choice.  I opted not to use the big bow on the sketch as it also felt traditional.  I also substituted felt flowers and hand drawn leaves for the holly embellishments. Totally love how this turned out.

January - June 2019 card design team!

My name is Alison and I live in Bend, Oregon, right in the center of Oregon. I am married and have one thirteen year old daughter along with a dog named Wrinkles. I started traditional scrapbooking over ten year ago which branched out into card making, mini albums, and other paper crafts. I work part time as Speech Language Pathologist helping children birth to five years of age. On my days off I keep busy crafting, volunteering at my daughter’s school, gardening, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.

Sharon

Hi!  I’m Sharon Bessinger.  I am so excited to be joining Stick it Down and their talented Design Team!  I’m married to Shaun going on 23 years and we have a 3 wonderful kids.   We also have 2 rescue dogs, Pippin and Shandy, 7 chickens, and a bunny… I’ve always been an artsy person, I am a silversmith as well.  From the time I was little, I loved to color and create fun projects.  A couple of years after our oldest son was born (20 years ago), I was introduced to scrapbooking. I fell in love with it.  I love creating in my craft room with paper and a cup of coffee, listening to my echo podcasts or music.

I am a Michigan girl who has a crafty obsession. Thanks to my parents, I was encouraged to be creative at a very young age. My style is "vintage chic." I love to mix things up so I love to add modern touches to vintage but modern prints. I create cards, layouts, altered items, etc. When you can't find me in my studio I am most likely to be found in the kitchen cooking up a storm for my parents and brother.
Monica

My name is Monica and I live in IL with my husband and 3 boys. To pay the bills and support my hobby I work at a bank as a part time teller. I like to say "What's better than bankers hours? Part time bankers hours." I love to be able to play in my craft room and create when I get a chance. I began making cards in 2010, after a little hiatus and enjoyed the smaller project size (which slowly helped me get back into scrapping). I love working with sketches and so I'm super excited to be a part of the Stick It Down card team!

Hello, everyone. My name is Cathy. And I live in Keelung City of Taiwan with my husband, an 18 years old daughter and a dog name little Ben. For my profession, I teach Chinese literary in junior high school.  I have always loved playing with handmaking, which has resulted in hobbies like sewing, baking, and garden design.  I start with making cards for my daughter’s birthday,  After my crafty friends took me into scrapbooking 5 years ago, I just completely addicted to it.
So I always want to spend more time for making a layout.  It’s so much fun to choose the papers, colors, inks, embellishments and other mediums. Hope you join us at Stick It Down.

Sam

Hi, my name is Samantha (everyone calls me Sam), and I live in Northamptonshire in the UK with my husband and my 2 children.

I’ve always been into crafting, but I discovered Scrapbooking when my daughter was 3 weeks old, and the rest is history as they say!!

Scrapbooking is my passion and keeps me sane.  I was on the Design Team for Scrapbook Magazine and Craftaholics R Us, and I’m really looking forward to working alongside the talented DT for Stick it Down!

Hey, my name is Terri Morris. I live in South Yorkshire in the UK. Being creative is just something that I have always done, I start to get grumpy if I go a few days without playing with pretty paper.  I have been scrapbooking for approximately 15 years. I love to add lots of details to my scrapbook pages and am known to be an avid fussy cutter. My pages often consist of lots of layers to create texture and dimension. I dabble with mixed media on my backgrounds to add different colours, patterns and texture. Although I do like a white cardstock background it isn’t always my go to because if I love a pattern I like to show it off as much as possible. My scrapbooking mostly documents my 3 other passions in life, travel, food and my cats.

 MelissaKay

Hello!  My name is MelissaKay Pearson.  I have been in the scrapbook industry for nearly 2 decades.  I have four beautiful and energetic children who provide me with enough material to fill all of my scrapbooks, planners, and mini albums.   I do a bit of everything from scrapbooking to card marking to mixed media and even graphic design.  I have a wonderfully supportive husband who gave me the entire second living room for all of my paper, glitter and washi tape so I hope you’ll come on by and we can create together!

Stacy
My name is Stacy Buller. I am a self-employed (Realtor) mom of two teenage boys. We live in Rhode Island (USA) in the town I grew up in. I've been married to my best friend, Michael, for 24 years this October and he supports my crazy addiction to paper crafting. I actually starting scrapbooking when my first son was born in 2001.  It was the fall of 2001. The World Trade Center was atttacked and I remember sitting on my couch, nursing my son, and wondering what kind of a world had I brought him into. To distract myself from the horrors on the news shows, I switched on the DIY network and got hooked watching Sandy Genoveese on her program DIY Scrapbooking (back in the day when the embellishments were Mrs. Grossman's stickers and you used deco edged scissors to fancy-cut your photo mats). But I've been at it ever since and love seeing the progression my albums and pages have taken.

 Keighley

Hey, my names Keighley, I’m 29 and from Accrington, Lancashire, UK. I’ve been Scrapbooking since I was around 17, I instantly fell in love with the hobby and all the gorgeous Scrapbooking supplies. I married my childhood sweet heart Tom last year, we have two children together TJ (7) and Darcie (3) and two furbabys Spud the staffie and Pippa the cat. I’m always taking photos of the kids and pets so I have lots to scrapbook. I scrapbook both 12x12 and A4 layouts. I’m enjoying A4 a lot more recently. I’m super excited to be joining the Stick It Down design team and I cant wait to see everyone’s creations xx

January - June 2019 double page team!

Hi, I am Tina.I live in South Williamsport, PA. I am married to a wonderful man now 22 years between the 2 of us we have 8 kids, 17 Grandkids, 2 Greatgrandkid with a pair of twins and another on the way :) We are the owners to 1 fur-baby too, Buddy an Australian cattle dog (Blue Heelers) and has been part of our lives since 2004. I'm a mold ejection laborer working the night shift for Shop Vac.
I started scrapbooking in 2007 when 2 coworkers/friends took me to my first crop, one of the girls said all I needed to bring was the pictures and anything special to go with them, she provided me with my first album and I had access to her supply of paper. I fell in love with the hobby that day and have been doing it since, that year for Christmas they gave me my first tote-bag kit that I still use when going to crops. I love to scrap in my Scrapcave (scraproom) it gives a chance to relax and enjoy the process of preserving memories. I scrap, make cards, smash and project life.

I'm Lauren and I'm from Philadelphia, PA. I've been married to my husband Mike for 9 years.  We met in elementary school and started dating the summer after we graduated from high school. We have two furbabies, Rocky the Boxer and Daphne the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I work from home for a yearbook publishing company, so even in my job, I work with photography and page layouts. I started scrapbooking 14 years ago and I am absolutely obsessed. My other hobbies include antiquing, photography, reading, gardening, and cooking/baking. I love to travel, and that provides so many scrapportunities for layouts.

I am a HS science teacher by training and substitute teach a few days a week.  I help my husband run his business and manage our little mini-farm of chickens, Black Angus steer in the summer, and raise German Shepherds.  My most important job is being Mom to our two boys!  We adopted them from Russia not quite 8 years ago.  DS #1 is a Senior in High School and DS #2 is in 6th grade.  We also have a daughter who is a Senior college.  I’ve been crafting all my life and scrapping since 1997 when I started with Creative Memories . . . but soon diverged!  My favorite thing to scrap is events and double page layouts are my go-to format.  I also enjoy making cards and creating home décor. It is a pleasure to join the Stick It Down design team, thanks for having me!

Hi there, I am Cathy and I hail from sunny South Africa. I have been scrapping since 2003... was introduced to this hobby by my BFF Judi and have not looked back. I eat, sleep and create scrapbook layouts. I love to scrap with a "mix and match" style... ie anything goes so long as the photos are highlighted and the story is told. I am married to Keith and mother to Aaron, who features in most of my pages. My scrapping is my photo album and thus I scrap the everyday memories that we make. I am honoured to be chosen to be part of this team and can't wait to get stuck in and scrap.

Hi!! I'm Shannon and I am a double page junkie so I am super excited to be joining the double-page team!  I just hate the thought of leaving a picture left unscrapped!  When I am not scrapping,  I am a wife, mother of 2 children and 3 furbabies and a Social Worker.  I have been scrapbooking in one form or another my whole life, but have been "acid free" since 2004.  In the past, I have had the privilege of designing for several manufacturer's and print magazines as well as on-line stores.  And I am so happy to be getting back into being part of a team after taking a break from scrapbooking to obtain my Master's degree.

Hi, I’m Antonia, I live in the UK with my family. I’m currently a full-time university student, so life is busy. I started scrapbooking about ten years ago, wanting to capture and record the special moments in my children’s lives, as they grow up. It has since become a passion and a form of therapy – it keeps me sane when life gets a bit crazy! I’ve been on the Stick It Down design team for over a year now – I’m so proud of being part of such a fantastic team!

November guest designer.. Treva!

My name is Treva and I live in Virginia.  My first love is documenting my family's history by scrapbooking  layouts,  but cardmaking really consumes alot of my time now.  I consider myself a super simple papercrafter and I believe less is more so when I do layouts I want the focus to be on the pictures and not the embellishments.  I enjoy participating in challenges which helps me use my stash paper and tools.   I am also a member of one design team.  I am married and the mother of two children.

When I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to create an anniversary card for my parents who will be celebrating their 57th wedding anniversary next month.  So I decided to pull from my Valentine's Day stash papers and embellishments.  I used a 5x5 card base and all of the papers with the exception of the sentiment banner came from the American Crafts Pebbles Be Mine 6x6 paper pad.  The heart was cut using the Stephanie Bernard - Sizzix dotted die set, a Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment and I finished the card by adding a few Queen & Co Jellies and some dimensional tape to the heart.
