Card team: July - December 2017!

Please welcome our card team for the July - December term!

My name is Alison and I live in Bend, Oregon right in the center of Oregon. I am married and have one twelve year old daughter along with a dog named Wrinkles. I started traditional scrapbooking over ten year ago which branched out into card making, mini albums, and other paper crafts. I work part time as Speech Language Pathologist helping children birth to five years of age. On my days off I keep busy crafting, volunteering at my daughter’s school, gardening, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.

Hi, Colleen from the beautiful state of Michigan. I am a mother, wife and grandmother to 5 very active kids. I have been scrapping for about 15 years but seriously scrapping for about 6 years. My style is eclectic and evolving. I love to make cards, scrapbook layouts, altered projects, as well as love making flowers and create most of the flowers on my projects. I use my Sizzix, other dies, Silhouette Cameo, punches and stamps to create the shapes and go from there.

 Jess
My name is Jessica Kaiser and I live in Saskatchewan, Canada.  I’m a stay-at-home mom & homemaker (my primary job!).I have been a crafter for as long as I can remember!  In 2007, I was introduced to rubber stamping and my passion has taken off from there!  I offer local cardmaking and papercrafting classes out of my home.  I love to learn new techniques and styles of cardmaking.  I am primarily a cardmaker, although I do love to scrapbook as well.  My cards are currently sold in 4 locations locally. I would describe my style as very clean – so sketches work great for me!    I definitely like to try different styles though and have put abstract creations together – but they usually end up being clean designs anyways!  I’m so excited to be joining such a fun Sketch Design Team! In my spare time, I love to cook & bake and I’m a Zumba Fitness Instructor.

My name is Lori and I live in a small SW Missouri town with my husband and our two sons. We also have a daughter who is married and has a sweet little girl that I get the pleasure of watching while her Mommy works. I started scrapbooking 18 years ago, and card making soon followed. Making cards gives me that quick creative fix that I sometimes need. Nothing relaxes me more than spending time in my craft room and creating cards and layouts.

I’m Evelyn.  Like most of you, I have always been crafty one way or another.  I knit, did counted cross-stitch for a few years, and have made beaded Christmas tree ornaments.  I’ve kept a scrapbook since I was a girl.  It included grainy, out of focus black and white photos taken on school field trips and around my home, locks of hair from when I got it cut, and paint samples from when I painted my bedroom walls (pink and yellow!)  When I discovered scrapbooking, I took that old scrapbook apart and re-made it using all acid-free materials.  My first die cutting machine was the Cricut Expression.  I now have two of them, a Gypsy, a Cameo and a Portrait, and use all of them to make scrapbook layouts, cards, and other paper items as well.  I'm honored and excited to be a member of the Stick it Down design team and its newest card sketch designer!

Hayley

Hi. I'm Hayley. I am married and have 3 wonderful boys. I live in North Devon in the UK. I have been paper crafting for many years. I have always been very crafty, and art was my favourite subject at school. My main passion is making cards. I love using and colouring both digi and rubber stamps. I have a love of mixed media, and would love to develop this in the future to create a range of different projects. I am always looking for new ideas and techniques and to keep my work varied. I am honoured to be a member of the SID DT and look forward to my journey ahead.

I am Shylaashree from India, very happy to be on the Card sketch Design team. I live with a beautiful family in a small industrial town in Tamilnadu.Crafting has always been part of my life however having a busy family it's confined to late at night when I steal a few hours to myself.Quilling is how it all began in the blogland and it was a turning point in my craft life from where i started into cardmaking, scrapbooking, alter items, 3D projects, fashion & paper jewellery & etc., I don't think i have a particular style, as it has evolved with time.I love all craft challenge blogs as they are my go to place when i need a kick start to craft.I am on a couple of Design Teams, my dream job would be to take my craft into a job. I hope it inspires you to create something amazing.Thank you Ashley for the opportunity.Look forward to work with this talented design team.

My name is Cathy and I live in Minnesota - one of the land-locked, colder areas of the United States.  I am delighted to join the card team for Stick It Down!  Like many of the new members, being involved with arts and crafts has provided a creative outlet for my entire life.  My SIL introduced me to card-making in 2007 and it's become my craft of choice.  I have been on several DTs over the years, which always inspires creativity and helps me grow.  I love sketch challenges and naturally tend to layer my cards.  My two passions right now are coloring with Copics and working on developing my CAS style.  In my spare time, I can be found in my craft room, sharing my love of card making and crafting with my grandkids!

There were so many wonderful card submissions that it was nearly impossible to make a decision. Thank you ladies for joining me this term - I can't wait to see what our future holds!

Single page team: July - December

Please welcome my lovely single page team!

Hi!, my name is Loreto Barsby (instagram @lorebarsby), I’m Chilean and I live in Santiago with my husband and two little daughters. I met the scrapbook in 2013 and since then it was love a first sight and I don’t go a day without seeking scrappy inspiration.
My Family  are the primary subject matter of my layout, they are my inspirations for scrapping, I'm rarely without a camera to capture the moment. I don’t really have a certain style, but I would define my style as simple an colorful. I’m so excited to be a part of the Stick It Down!!!

My name is Khristina and I live in the Arizona with my husband and three adventurous children. I am a Registered Nurse and also spent nearly ten years teaching middle school and high school students through the Teach for America program. I have been a crafter and scrapbooker since I was a child and taught in a scrapbook store throughout college. I love to complete traditional layouts as well as pocket scrapbooking spreads along with cards, home, and party décor  with my supplies. I really enjoy working with sketches as a jumping off point to create something amazing using my stash.  I really love to meet and network with crafters from around the world and am really looking forward to working with all of you to push the creative envelope and try new things.

I’m Laura Rumble, an M.E. suffering crafty scrapping Auntie in my early thirties from the UK.  Besides creating and spending time with my nephew I enjoy nature and food, and they often become my scrapping topics.  I’d describe my style as lots of white with pops of bright colours and I usually have sequins and/or ribbon on my layouts!

Hello, everyone. My name is Cathy. And I live in Keelung City of Taiwan with my husband , a 18 years old daughter and a dog name little Ben. For my profession I teach Chinese literary in junior high school .  I have always loved playing with handmaking, which has resulted in hobbies like sewing, baking, and garden design.  I start with making cards for my daughter’s birthday,  After my crafty friends took me into scrapbooking 3 years ago, I just completely addicted to it.
So I always want to spent more time for make a layout.  It’s so much fun to choose the papers, colors, inks, embellishments and other mediums.

Julene has been scrapping for about 15 years. She has been on several design teams over the years and has enjoyed every challenge. She prefers traditional scrapbooking, but has tried a variety of styles. She also makes cards. Julene lives in Sydney Australia and has a 30 year old daughter.

Hi, I'm Katy. I'm a busy twin mum from Essex in England. I don't get as much time to scrap as I'd like - so sketches are perfect for me! They provide the inspiration and I get to do the fun side of creating! My style is very much heavy on adding bits - I'm not a blank space kind of girl, but I'm looking forward to being pushed out of my comfort zone with some of the sketches. I'm honoured to have been picked for the stick it down design team, I've been following the challenges for over a year and I love the variety of cards and layouts they have helped me produce. I'm looking forward to seeing what I produce over the next six months!

Hey there, I'm Niki. I live near London in tihe UK with my hubby and our two young kiddies, Sophie age 5 and Max age 3, who are pretty much always the subjects of my layouts. Aside from being a full time mum, near enough full time childminder, I would also call myself a full time scrapper! I teach scrapbooking classes locally, am on the Hey Little Magpie design team, the Silhouette UK design team and GoGo Getaway design team and I average around 30 layouts per month! I just love playing with pretty paper and glittery things and enjoy keeping all those memories of my babies and my day to day life. My favourite manufacturers right now are Crate Paper and Cocoa Vanilla Studio, oh and Pinkfresh Studio and I would describe my scrappy style as a 'throw it all on' kind of style. I love to drink vanilla coffee and eat shortbread biscuits while I scrap. Thanks so much for having me on the Stick it Down design team I can't wait to get my scrap on with you! xx

Lorraine
Hi, I'm Lorraine. I live in a pretty rural location in East Anglia, UK. I am a Daughter, Wife, Mum and Nanny with a passion for scrapbooking and pretty paper. As a busy mum and nanny I love nothing better than documenting special memories and everyday moments within my scrapbooks. I have enjoyed this fantastic hobby for over 15 years and love sharing this passion with like minded people.

I am co-owner and design team member of GoGo Getaway, a scrapbooking retreat company here in the UK. I have been excited to teach at many events in the UK over the years and have been pleased as punch to written articles for craft magaiznes and featuring in publications in the UK.

I would describe my style as fun and quirky as I love to add those little touches such as cute woodland animals. At the moment I am loving Shimelle's ranges, especially Little By Little  followed closely by Cocoa Vanilla. I am really looking forward to sharing my sketches and layouts with you all. Thank you so much for inviting me on the Stick it Down design team.

We've put together a fabulous single page team with tons of talent! I hope you'll enjoy their pages this term as much as I will!

Double page team July - December 2017!

Lots of new faces on the double page team for this term!

I'm 53 years old, married and I have three grown up stepchildren. I have a full time job. I and my DH love to travel and spend time at our cabin in the mountains. Everywhere we go we take pictures, a lot of pictures. I'vie been scrapping for about 11 years now and since we have a lot of pictures I love to make double page layouts with many photos on. For me it's important to tell a story, so journaling are essential for me. Most of the time I write my journal by hand. Early I found out that stamps were great to use on my pages. The last yeras I have also gone into mixed media, and love to use paints, mists, inks, and other mediums on my pages, often together with stencils and stamps. Sometimes I make my own embellishments and I alter chipboard to go with my photos. I also make single layouts, cards, and altered projects.

Hi, I am Tina.I live in South Williamsport, PA. I am married to a wonderful man now 22 years between the 2 of us we have 8 kids, 17 Grandkids, 2 Greatgrandkid with a pair of twins and another on the way :) We are the owners to 1 fur-baby too, Buddy an Australian cattle dog (Blue Heelers) and has been part of our lives since 2004. I'm a mold ejection laborer working the night shift for Shop Vac.
I started scrapbooking in 2007 when 2 coworkers/friends took me to my first crop, one of the girls said all I needed to bring was the pictures and anything special to go with them, she provided me with my first album and I had access to her supply of paper. I fell in love with the hobby that day and have been doing it since, that year for Christmas they gave me my first tote-bag kit that I still use when going to crops. I love to scrap in my Scrapcave (scraproom) it gives a chance to relax and enjoy the process of preserving memories. I scrap, make cards, smash and project life.

I'm Lauren and I'm from Philadelphia, PA. I've been married to my husband Mike for 9 years.  We met in elementary school and started dating the summer after we graduated from high school. We have two furbabies, Rocky the Boxer and Daphne the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I work from home for a yearbook publishing company, so even in my job, I work with photography and page layouts. I started scrapbooking 14 years ago and I am absolutely obsessed. My other hobbies include antiquing, photography, reading, gardening, and cooking/baking. I love to travel, and that provides so many scrapportunities for layouts.

I am a HS science teacher by training and substitute teach a few days a week.  I help my husband run his business and manage our little mini-farm of chickens, Black Angus steer in the summer, and raise German Shepherds.  My most important job is being Mom to our two boys!  We adopted them from Russia not quite 8 years ago.  DS #1 is a Senior in High School and DS #2 is in 6th grade.  We also have a daughter who is a Senior college.  I’ve been crafting all my life and scrapping since 1997 when I started with Creative Memories . . . but soon diverged!  My favorite thing to scrap is events and double page layouts are my go-to format.  I also enjoy making cards and creating home décor. It is a pleasure to join the Stick It Down design team, thanks for having me!

Hi there, I am Cathy and I hail from sunny South Africa. I have been scrapping since 2003... was introduced to this hobby by my BFF Judi and have not looked back. I eat, sleep and create scrapbook layouts. I love to scrap with a "mix and match" style... ie anything goes so long as the photos are highlighted and the story is told. I am married to Keith and mother to Aaron, who features in most of my pages. My scrapping is my photo album and thus I scrap the everyday memories that we make. I am honoured to be chosen to be part of this team and can't wait to get stuck in and scrap.

Essie

Hi - I'm Essie (Esther) and I'm very excited to be joining the double page team ! I have been crafting my whole life and discovered scrapbooking in about 1998 through Creative Memories. I live with my partner Pete who is very tolerant of my paper addiction and messy spare room ! I design and teach for Go Go Getaway and my favourite things are messy mixed media techniques and rubber stamping.

Shannon

Hi!! I'm Shannon and I am a double page junkie so I am super excited to be joining the double-page team!  I just hate the thought of leaving a picture left unscrapped!  When I am not scrapping,  I am a wife, mother of 2 children and 3 furbabies and a Social Worker.  I have been scrapbooking in one form or another my whole life, but have been "acid free" since 2004.  In the past, I have had the privilege of designing for several manufacturer's and print magazines as well as on-line stores.  And I am so happy to be getting back into being part of a team after taking a break from scrapbooking to obtain my Master's degree.

It can be hard to put together the double page team because we often do not receive many submissions. I am thrilled to be adding these ladies to the double page team this term - and I'm so happy that my "old" double page team is sticking with me! :)

June guest designer... Wendy!

We have Wendy Crowe as our double page guest designer this month!

My name is Wendy Crowe and I have been scrapbooking for about 15 years now.  I am addicted to the traditional paper scrapping.  I love having lots of “stuff” to play with.  I am married to a very patient guy who makes sure I have plenty of “me” time.  I have 3 wonderful kids,  2 daughters (26 and 15) and a son (9).  With those age differences, I am lucky to have dabbled in just about every subject that can be scrapbooked.  And I get to shop…a lot! Thanks for letting me be a Guest Designer!

For my layout, I used lots of rub ons, clear acrylic buttons to mimic bubbles and lots of vellum circles.

If you'd like to be a guest designer in the future, just  link up your project on the side bar to the left. You can play along with any of our challenges. You have until the end of the month!
