Introducing - The Double Page team

Please welcome the ladies who will be sharing their double page layouts with you. This team will have their reveal on the 4th Tuesday of every month.

The sketch designer:

My name is Shelby Koehler, I have two boys ages 7 and 9 and I started scrapbooking about 7 years ago. I was invited to a home party selling scrapbook supplies and was hooked immediately. I was thrilled to find a creative way to showcase the hundreds of photographs I had taken and to preserve memories for my boys.
When my youngest went to kindergarten I was presented the opportunity to work at my LSS and 3 years later I am still there designing kits and loving my 'job'.

I'm a stay at home mom that has been scrapbooking for over 10 years, buying supplies just a bit longer than making actual pages. I have great material to work with from my husband, son, niece and three dogs. I'm incredibly blessed and so excited to be a part of the Stick It Down team!

My name is Kelli, but I am often called "cee" (it's a long story) and usually go by "kel". I am a 31-yo happily married mother of 2 boys, lovingly referred to as Big A (9) & Little A (6) on my blog.  I am also mama to 2 puppies and one pretty(-old) little kitty, all adopted from our local shelter. All 5 kids are rotating subjects of my scrapbooking pages and inspire the supplies I pick up for my papercrafting.  I live in beautiful Kaneohe, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu.
I like to scrapbook and make cards but I also knit, sew, and will probably start crocheting because I can't get myself to give away my grandmother's crocheting yarns!!  I love to read, work in my garden (which my puppies have literally eaten up!!), meditate, make/listen to music, cook/bake and study.
wait, did she say study?!?
haha! One of my life goals is to be multilingual and I am barely conversational in both Japanese and Korean, teaching myself and learning as I go.  I am also on a short break from college, where I am pursuing concurrent degrees in History and Asian Studies.

Hey there! I'm Tracey and I am thrilled to be here as part of the team!! I am happily married for almost 10 years and Mom to one beautiful and amazing 7-year-old girl. I have been scrapbooking for about 10 years now - my wedding album was my first full project. My style has changed quite a bit over the years but my love of the hobby has remained!! I am a clean and linear scrapper and a big fan of sketches. My layouts generally revolve around my Baby Girl but you will see various members of my large family featured too. It is all about preserving the memories and I am rarely without my camera to capture them!

I am Stephanie Johnson from Miamisburg, Ohio in the USA and am a member of the double page design team here at Stick It Down Challenges! I have been involved in scrapbooking for the past eleven years and have a mild addiction to patterned paper....I have two daughters who are the primary subject matter of my layouts along w/ my furry children. I am so excited to be on the ground floor of this new sketch blog. I can not wait to share my creations with you all!

I am an elementary school librarian with a teenage daughter and teenage son. I have been married for 18 years to a man who understand my hobby of scrap booking. What started out as a hobby 9 years ago has turned into an obsession as I always have some LO or photos on my desk that I am working with. I always liked to do crafts. I learned to knit when I was 10 years old. I also crochet and sew. I began creating scrapbook pages so I could make albums for my 2 children. As I create each page I go back in my memory to the event. I hope that it will be the same for my children as they grow older and look through these books. I am preserving memories of today what will someday be our history.

Introducing - the Single Page Team 2

Welcome back for the Single Page Team 2.  This is the team that will be sharing their creations on the third Tuesday of each month.

The sketch artist and also layout designer:

Hi I am Brenshevia and I live in Tennessee with my family. I have been scrapping since 2007 and I LOVE to create!. My Inspiration: My children, my grandchildren and my fiancee’ are my inspirations for scrapping. I want for each of us to be able to look back someday and say “I remember when….” What better way to capture all your memories than to lay them out. My Style: I am all over the map when it comes to style. I don’t really have a certain style; I just create what I feel at the moment. I absolutely love shabby chic/vintage but I can also do fun and simple.  When I am not scrapbooking I am reading, watching TV or enjoying what little free time I have.  Thanks for joining us here at Stick It Down.

Our Layout designers:

Hi everyone, my name is Tanti. I was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia. In 1994 I went to Germany for my studies. There I met my husband, so I stayed for good. Nowadays I'm a stay at home mom of 2 kids.

I've been papercrafting since I was at school. 15 years ago I started making cards for my friends and family.
2009 I fell in love with scrapbooking and I'm addicted to it since I made a vintage mini album for my mother-in-law.
I love working with transparency or vellum. I like creating a homemade embellishment for extra details on most of my projects. My style is more CAS and colourful but I do also layering and messy style. Besides scrapbook pages I also love to make cards, mini albums and altered items. Besides scrapbooking and papercrafting I also love  playing the piano, singing, dancing (especially balineese dance) and taking pictures of my kids and any kind of animals. I'm so excited to take a part of "Stick It Down" DT and just can't wait to work with all of the talented ladies in this team.

I am a 39 year old Elementary School Principal who LOVES to create in my spare time!  I have 3 kids (two sons and one daughter,) a husband and a dog named Duncan.  I LOVE working with beautiful papers to create layouts and mini albums from scratch.  I am also a huge "swap" participator, so I do make ATCs, tags and other handmade embellishments from time to time (photo mats, flowers, titles, etc.) with my paper scraps.  I believe in using EVERY bit of beautiful paper I create with!
I would describe my style as "clean cut" as I love clean lines with random elements here and there (using paint & sprays, masking, titles made from leftover letters, etc.)  I would have to say that my unique skill would be having a "great eye" for putting things "together."  What this translates to is perfect papers, perfect embellies and an overall perfect page or project to complement the perfect picture!

My name is Vivian Garcia. I am a Spanish journalist with a masters in Photography. I am a mother of three beautiful children who run and hide every time they see me with the camera! My favorite thing in the world is taking pictures of my children so I can scrap with them after. I started scrapbooking in 2011, and I have fallen in love with this art, specially as a way to document my children´s lives in a creative way. I like to think they will have a nice memory from their mother. I always use big pictures in my layouts because i like to make the photo the center of attention, love to get my hands dirty with paint in order to create mix media backrounds and enjoy using different and original colour conbination.

My husband and I live in a small community in Northern Ontario with our three girls. When I'm not at work, I am running our girls to their various activities and scrapping! I love clean lines and have a very simple style. I am starting to add bling as I have two girls who are divas and adore the shiny!

Introducing: The Card team!

Here is a little more information about the ladies who will be sharing their cards with us on the second Tuesday each month as part of our card team!

Our sketch and card designer:

Crafting has been my creative outlet since the 80’s when my children were little.  In 2007, I began making cards and it has been my craft of choice every since.  I'm an empty-nester, so for the past five years I have had my own craft room instead of using the dining room table!  I bought my first Copic markers about three years ago.  Although I took the Copic Certification classes in 2012, my biggest resource for learning how to color and shade has been the Internet.  I am grateful for websites like Splitcoast Stampers and other bloggers I have found along the way for helping me continue to build my skills with each card I color.

Our designers:

My name is Katie and I live in Grimsby in North East Lincolnshire. By day I am a paediatric nurse on a general childrens' ward. I live with my partner and two gorgeous kitties. I have been card making for just over a year now and love to craft on my days off. I am excited to be part of the SID team

Hello from the beautiful state of Michigan. I am a recent retiree and love having extra time to create. I am a grandma of 6 of the most wonderful grandkids in the world. They can make a dark day bright. I love making and giving cards as well as making pages for the grandkids scrapbooks. I have been making cards and scrapping for about 10 years.

My name is ValĂ©rie Allard, more known under the pen name valou250809.  I live in Belgium just next to the big city of Chaleroi and 40km from Brussels. I have 5 children from 3 to 12 years old. I scrap since 2006 and my style is the “Shabby Chic Style” but I know also how to create in a vintage style or C&S without any problem. I create a great deal of cards and of projects home decoration. I thank you very much for my introduction on the DT Team

My name is Jessica and I live in sunny Southern California. I have been married to my husband for 8 years and have two wonderful children, Trinity 6 and Luke 4. I have been scrapbooking and card making for 6 years. I work full-time and enjoy my scrap breaks whenever I get a chance.

My name is Monica and I was born and raised in San Diego, California.  I currently live in Phoenix, Arizona with my husband of 21 years, my 16 year old son and 2 Dachshund dogs.  I have always been crafty and have at least tried most every type of crafting.  I got into scrapbooking when my son was born and switched over to card making about 3 years ago.  I am excited to be part of the Stick it Down design team and look forward to this creative journey.

Introducing - The Single Page Team 1

Here is a little more about our Single Page Team 1 ladies!

This is team will reveal on the first Tuesday of every month.  To play along, you will simply link up your single page version of the sketch!  Hope to see you on January 7th

Our sketch artist and layout designer for this team is:

Hi everyone! My name is Cecile (known as Smellykat on the web – yes I’m a big fan of FRIENDS TV show). I'm 35 & live in Paris suburbs (France) with my DH & my “crazy but cute” kitten Pixelle.
I’ve been working as a sales assistant in a creative perfumery house for the past 12 years.
I love reading books (especially vampires-related ones), surfing on the web (don’t mention the silly time-consuming Facebook games…uh oh, too late!), watching TV series…and I try to always look at the bright side of life!

I've been scrapbooking since summer 2006.
I’ve tried many techniques and trends these past years but I would say my current style is clean-free: I love playing with bright colours, inks, gesso, stencils, modeling paste…and I love to create my own sketches!

I've been published several times in French scrapbook magazines (Histoires de pages, Carnets de scrap, Entreartistes magazine) & regularly work as a scrap translator.
I’ve just been accepted as a DT member at Com.16 (a printable papers online shop) so it seems I’m in a good roll this month!

I hope you’ll be inspired by my realisations during these 6 months! Thank you for accepting me in the team! I’m so so Happy to bring my French touch to it!

Our Layout Designers:

My name is Simona, I'm Italian. I live in Bologna with my husband and my two sons - Jacopo 17 and Sara 12 years old. I started to make scrapbooking in 2007 and since then I'm fell in love! I like mini album, PL, card, but most of all I love the LO. I'm very happy to be part of this group, I still can't believe it!

Hi, my name is Doreen!
I have been married to the love of my life, David, since 2001. I am the mother of 2 human babies: Joseph (18) and Madison (11) and 3 fur babies: Spotty (dog), Ivanna (dog) and Panini (cat).
I started dabbling in scrapbooking 14 years ago, however, it turned into a serious hobby for me in 2005 when I discovered a scrapbook website that opened my eyes to new, fun techniques and allowed me to interact with other scrappers. About 4 years ago the hobby turned into an obsession when I discovered blogs, contests, and scrapbooking kit clubs!
I don't scrap chronologically, as I would rather scrap whatever subject I am "feeling" at the moment.
Luckily I have a variety of subjects to scrap! I will never be caught up since as much as I like to scrap I also love to take pictures! For every new layout I create there's probably a dozen new pictures I have just taken, LOL!
But, that's okay... Just like life, it's not about the destination but the journey and I am excited to add being a DT member of "Stick It Down" my scrapbooking "journey"!

Hi! My name is Michelle. I live in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee with my amazing husband, and our teenage daughter. My family feature throughout my work, they are my world. I discovered scrapbooking when my daughter was born, but only really became passionately addicted about 1 ½ years ago. There’s so many styles and techniques to play around with. I really enjoy the creative outlet of paper crafting, while documenting all parts of our life. I’m not sure if I have any set style, I think it often depends on my mood, the subject, or challenge involved. I have been honored to be a member of five design teams and have some of my work published. Besides paper crafts, I also love reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to sharing my work with you.

Hi my name is Michelle Looi. I'm a full time working mum and have 2 boys age 4 and 6. I have been crafting since May2011. As DT member I hope to inspire other scrapbookers as much as they inspire me to try new things and techniques. Most of the time, I'm into inking/stamping/misting in my layouts. Of course I do scrap with pattern papers too! You'd also see some washi tapes being used on my creations every now and then.

I am on also on DT team at Kaboodle Doodles, Let's Scrap, 365cards and Sunny Side Up Creations. I had guest designed at Artist Cellar and CSI; and had been published on ezines - Life.Paper.Scrapbook, ScrapN'Art and ScrapStreet

And good news, our designers are furiously working on a little bit of a surprise.  Stay tuned!

A success!

Our first ever design team call has come to an end and it has been a complete success.  Now the hard decisions need to be made.

We thank each and every one of you who applied.  We received more applications than we have positions to be filled, which is great for us, but means we will disappoint some really fantastic and creative ladies.

We are working as fast as we can to make our decisions.  The official announcement will be made on December 5th.

Thanks again to everyone who applied.  It makes us very excited to get the ball rolling!
