BIG NEWS | Changes For Stick It Down

We have some news to share with you all...

 

Ashley has run Stick It Down for the best part of a decade. She's decided it is time to move on and we wish her all the best. The team felt that we wanted to try and keep Stick It Down alive so I (Laura) have taken over the reins. There will be changes though, to make it more manageable for me.

The main change is that we are switching to a Facebook group instead of running the challenges here on the blog. The concept will still be the same. We will share a card sketch, a single page scrapbook sketch and double page scrapbook sketch on the 1st of each month. Throughout the month the design team will share inspiration based on those sketches. To join in you create based on any of the sketches (or all... there is no limit on entries) and add it to the relevant album. At the end of the month we pick a winner and they will be invited to guest design for us the following month.

We want to say a huge thank you to Ashley for all she has done for Stick It Down and we really hope she'll pop in and join us now and again. Please leave her some love in the comments below.

July Guest Designer

 Today we get to welcome our July Guest Designer----Dale Tiernan!

Hi. I’m Dale Tiernan. I live in Western Australia. I’m married with 2 adult sons. I started scrapbooking memorabilia as a child. I took up the hobby again in 2003 after I went to a Creative Memories class. I taught it with CM for some time. I’ve been on quite a few DT’s in my time but am currently on just one, Archi-Scraps. I love the art of memory-keeping. I’ve completed over 50 albums. I’m pleased to present my layout for the single-page sketch design this month.

I decided to create a title page for my Hawaii album using this layout!

I used Maggie Holmes "Chasing Dreams" for this layout. I fussy cut some of the butterflies from the 6X6 paper pad to add some texture to the collage background paper. I used a vintage photo.

July Double Page Sketch Team

Happy July! Wow can you believe we're already this far into 2023? It's gone by fast! Since it's summer I hope you've been able to enjoy the additional sunshine and that you've found some time to scrapbook on the rainy days! Here's another sketch to get your creative wheels turning!

Sharon

Thanksgiving in July. ha--I took some liberties with this layout.  But

it worked out for all my holiday photos.  I have been having fun going

through "older" papers and embellishments and using up some of my stash.

Bethany

I modified the sketch to incorporate a few more snorkeling photos from our trip to Hanauma Bay (on the island of Oahu). What a wonderful day to enjoy the beach and ocean life!

Antonia:

I tried to stick to the sketch as much as possible this month. I love sketches like this one - there is enough room for multiple photos, embellishment clusters and showcasing the beautiful patterned papers, too!

Maureen O

I also followed this sketch.  It worked perfectly for the pictures I had.  I used the new summer line Photoplay.
