September Guest Designer

 Welcome to Barbara, our Guest Designer for the month of September!

Hi, I'm Barbara Greenburg from Columbia, Missouri. I was so pleased to have been asked to be a guest designer this month here at Stick It Down. I’ve been scrapping since 2008 when I got an album and supplies from my daughter for a gift. Once I started it didn’t take long till I was hooked. It is rare for me to miss a day of scrapping, unless I’m out on a favorite road trip, I’m home scrapping. It’s my passion. My husband and I have been married 17 years and we each have two grown kids. And between us we have 8 grandkids. So I always have plenty of pictures from them to scrap. And with my love of road trips so I have made many travel albums. My other favorite thing to scrap is Christmas. I keep all those albums chronologically starting back in 1951, the year I was born.

September Single Page Team!

Hello, Crafty Friends! It's single page reveal week here at Stick It Down - here is our sketch created by the oh-so-fabulous Laura Rumble:

This month's sketch is amazing - it combines the currently so popular sunburst design with a large photo! Let's see what out design team created with this sketch:

Jane created a travel themed layout, using kraft and cream papers with pops of red:

Sherry has been stash busting this month, using the beautiful Lavender Frost collection from Prima, to create her beautiful layout. She used lots of stitching around the edges to frame it all:

Brandi Jo created this striking layout, mixing soft blue with black and kraft. She used a smaller photo and added some embellishments around it:

September Double Page Sketch

We have another month of fun awaiting you! So let's get started with our double page sketch!

Together time with family is oh so precious and since we just lost our wonderful Grandma Irene, I decided to create this layout commemorating some of that special family time we were able to spend together before her passing. This sketch helped me preserve some of those memories --- which is the wonderful thing about scrapbooking! I used the "Have Faith" collection from Echo Park.

Even though it's September, I'm still catching up on scrapbooking our holiday memories. I chose my papers and embellishments from various different summer themed collections, based on colours: blues and beiges to compliment the photos, and pinks, lilacs and yellows to give a bit of a contrast and interest to the page. I had a couple of large photos to scrapbook - I found this month's sketch perfect for these - I just replaced the grid format with them!
