August guest designer... Janis!

Hi, my name is Janis Woolbright.  I am honored to be a Guest Designer for the Stick it Down Card Sketch Challenge.  I live in rural Idaho, USA and love cardmaking and cats.  I've been making baby cards recently and this month's sketch went perfectly with some adorable teddy bear ribbon I had in my stash.

Jodi is the Owner/Designer at Corbett Creations Wood Veneers laser cutting business based in Brisbane. She found herself constantly frustrated that she couldn't find the perfect title or embellishment to finish off layouts, projects or gifts.  After spending far too long trying to create the perfect embellishment, she would sometimes rope her husband into helping with all his cool tools in the man shed!  He has a love for wood also and together they purchased their laser. Jodi loves to create in wood, chipboard, cardstock, paper and acrylic. With so many different mediums, the possibilities are endless!

August guest designer... Cheryl!

Hi everyone! My name is Cheryl Even and I’m very excited to be a guest designer for Stick It Down this month.  A Southern California native, I have been married to my college sweetheart Greg for 27 years and am a SAHM to four wonderful kids, Adrian, Elliot, Brianna, and Oliver Angel. I’ve been scrapbooking ever since I went to my first scrapbooking party and decided to try it for a month to see if I liked it. 21 years later, I think you could say I stuck with it and loved it! Although my life is really busy with raising four children, leading a women’s Bible study, and playing guitar and singing on the worship team at church, I usually find time every week to sneak away to my craft room to scrapbook, and then I post my completed work on my BLOG. 

Working with this sketch was really fun, but I had the extra challenge of not layering anything over my top photo, since it flips up to reveal two other photos underneath it. This meant my title was hanging out in no-man’s land, so I added some circles to tie everything together and to add a fun pop of color.
