May guest designer... Crissi

We have two guest designers this week! Please welcome Cristina.

I'm Cristina, on the web known as Crissi. I have a blog since 2006 and it's called scrapidee.blogspot.it. I know scrapbooking since my daughter was born 14 years ago, I wanted to enhance photo albums and so I met scrapbooking. I've fallen in love with this hobby right now and I've never stopped, I need to practice it a lot to create relaxation areas during the day and for personal satisfaction. I'm part of two Italian design teams, scrapperdellanotte (www.scrapperdellanotte.it) and a craft shop (ww.hobbydicarta.com). Lately, I'm focusing on online challenges to get new ideas and I'm very happy to have won the SID challenge.

May guest designer... Shanna

Please welcome Shanna as our card guest designer!

My name is Shanna and I am a proud to be one of this month's guest designers here at Stick it Down. I have been happily married for the last 15 years to my wonderful hubby and together we have 3 kiddos ranging in ages 5 to 15.  I work full time as a registered nurse at a local hospital and really enjoy my job.  In my spare time I love to craft....mainly scrapbooking and papercrafts, most recently in the Project Life/pocket page styles.  I have started a blog to document my crafting adventures, it's called Caffeinated Craftiness, a merger of my love of coffee and crafts! 

For this month's sketch I used a fun stamp from Honey Bee Stamps called "Blah Bunny" and the coordinating sentiment set called "Blah blah blah" to create a 4x6 Project Life card....love it! It was totally speaking to me this week as life got a bit crazy.  A little shading on the bunny, a few drips of white Nuvo drops, and a fun pop of color to accent with really helped put this card together. I hope you all enjoy it!  Happy craftin' everyone!

Welcome Deanna as our single page guest designer for May!

Hey everyone! I'm Deanna, married to my high school sweetheart Brad for 38 years. We have 3 adult kids who have given us 9 beautiful grandkids whom I adore and enjoy scrapping about. Although I think I've always saved memorabilia and kept scrapbooks, my oldest granddaughter is actually the reason I started scrapping 16 years ago like I do now. I ran across a scrapbooking site online and thought it would be such a wonderful way to preserve memories for her. I love working with and trying different brands and techniques! I'm an embellie junkie and a page is never complete without the perfect accents! Other things I enjoy doing are walking, biking, and traveling. I'm really honored to be a Guest Designer at Stick it Down this month!

reminder: design team call!

It's time for a design team call! We are looking for double page team designers and card designers and we're also looking for sketch designers.

Our next term will run from July to December 2017. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to this time frame.

What you will do:

• provide one project per month, with possible additional special events during the six month term
• comment on all submissions as you are assigned
• post our challenge to your blog and other social media outlets 
• have projects completed and posted one week before the deadline

What you need:

• an active blog
• a Facebook account as this is where the DT "meets"
• a love for sketches
• organizational and time management skills

What we will do:

• provide the sketches one month in advance
• provide your posting schedule and commenting assignments
• be supportive and encouraging
• share your photo and your blog link on the SID blog
• share your project on various social media outlets

How to apply:

• send an email to Ashley at StickItDownChallenges@gmail.com with the subject line "Design Team Call"
• include your name and location
• include a list of current commitments (no experience necessary!)
• include three of your favorite projects that best display your style and suit the requirements of the team you are applying for (ie submit cards if you are applying for the card team)
• introduce yourself in few brief sentences
• If you have experience or are interested in designing sketches, please include a few of your sketch designs in your application as well.

This call is open to everyone, including our current team members, and will run until 11:59pm on May 31. The new team will be notified by June 5 and announced on the SID blog on or around June 12. The new design team's projects will be revealed in July. If you have any questions, please let me know!

My name is Sandy Ross and I live in Southern Ontario, Canada and I am married to a wonderful man who supports my scrapbooking hobby. We have three amazing grown children and two adorable grandsons. They are my inspiration for scrapbooking – to capture and cherish memories forever.
I’ve been crafty as long as I can remember, but seriously addicted to scrapbooking for the last eight years. I also love to sew and quilting is my passion.
I can’t say I have a distinct style because I really like experimenting and trying new techniques. I love to follow sketches and I am presently on two design teams - Stuck?! Sketches and Lasting Memories Layout Challenges. Thank you SID for having me as a guest designer!
